When Brandon died the second day of March 2018 at just 48 years young, it was surreal and earth shattering for so many of us. His hard work, gentle spirit, amazing songs, and overwhelming badassery had captured many of our hearts and electrified our souls for the past 2 decades. His music was starting to hit big up on regional radio, his stardom was on the rise and he was releasing some of the best songs & albums of his career. His shocking death in Nashville, Tennessee from heart valve failure at just 48 years old was one of the saddest days for so many, as Brandon was the true heartbeat of Texas-Red Dirt Music in the early 21st century.

Fast forward to the Summer of 2025, I was drinking some TX bourbon one night by the pool, jamming to his wonderful Glass House Sessions album and remembered that his old website was www.reddirtlegend.com so I typed it in. Instead of leading me to Brandon's website, it led me to a website not available page. Researching from there, it showed www.reddirtlegend.com had expired and was available for purchase. I immediately bought it with plans to redirect it to his website. But his website didnt have much content on it and it had not been updated since just after his death.

As a webmaster for hundreds of clients in many different industries, websites and digital media can be wiped away without a trace, ending that story. That ain't happening to the Red Dirt Legend on my watch.

So I vibe coded this tribute discography website in honor of Brandon and our departed friend Leonard Callaway II (April 5, 1974 - August 27, 2021), to do my small part in continuing the legacy of the Red Dirt Legend.

My goals for this website are to keep the legend alive for new generations and keep spreading his music to every new fan of Red Dirt around the globe. If I have to host and maintain the site for the next 100 years, so be it. Small price to pay for a man who meant the world to so many of us and gave us such amazing tunes.
